It all started with baby toes...
When I had my son, Finley, in October of 2018, I found myself staring at him and soaking up every little detail. That first night I couldn’t stop staring at his feet. His little feet that just mere minutes prior had been kicking me on the inside were now fresh out of the oven! Wrinkly and wiggly, I was in awe of those little toes. I knew those toes wouldn’t look like that for long, so I snapped a picture of them with my phone while my husband slept in the chair next to us. His little toes look so different now, and I’m so glad I have that picture to remember such a tiny but significant detail of such a wonderful time. His toes are still the cutest thing on this planet (the rest of him is pretty cute, too), but I’m grateful that we can turn back time with these images.
“The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.”
— Andy Warhol
I have always loved the little details in photos. Flipping through old family photos was a favorite past time of mine as a kid. Seeing how my relatives changed over the years, what my parents chose to take pictures of while I was growing up, what the photographers chose to focus on, it all tells a story. It’s all in the details.
I look forward to preserving your favorite little details, and I cannot wait to work with you!
